Los Angeles, CA -- (Press Release) -- Professional poker player Gavin Smith capped his strong year of play in Season IV of the World Poker Tour by being named the tours Season IV Player of the Year.

Over the past year, Smith reached the final table in three separate $10,000 buy-in World Poker Tour events, including a first-place finish at the 2005 Mirage Poker Showdown.

Getting to a WPT final table is an accomplishment achieved by many, said Full Tilt Poker representative and professional poker player Howard Lederer, ut making three final tables in one season, including a win, shows that Gavin is among pokers elite competitors.

Smith is the third Full Tilt Poker representative to earn the WPT Player of the Year honor, following in the tradition set by Team Full Tilt members Howard Lederer in Season One, and Erick Lindgren in Season Two.
